But I do thing the auto update problem is flawed. I have had a look at DELL's support forum, and found that people are actually removing the ram from their PC's in order to install this update.

The answer to why this update is failing is you have a 32bit version of vista, and that you have more than 2Gb of RAM, 32Bit will only utilize 2Gb, I removed all the RAM except for 1Gb Rebooted the Computer, Then went to installed updates and removed the KB and rebooted, then manually installed the update, Thought the update is recommended its not important.
Still its an update that needs some attention by microsoft. As the reason this update and others that will occur to be an issue will be released with the SP1 when it is released, of wich that only opens up doors for security vulnerabilities. Any progress today? I ran the fixit, disabled mse, restarted making sure mse was not running, and ran the standalone service pack installer.
