An updated version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater containing several new features, most notably a third-person camera and an online mode. Special agent Leon S. Just need to take some Dramamine first. VR is getting really neat, guys! Lost Levels was a highlight of my year and my gaming experience thus far. I am so excited to share my speech with you, and, officially, introduce myself to the blogger world.
Super Giant Games also made Bastion, another game on my list that received extraordinary head nods and recognition. The electric art, the gripping theme song, the powerful protagonist, and her narrating sword, are all just bits of what makes this game rather enticing.
How can we make advanced gameplay concepts like this accessible without being dumbed down? Approachable without being boring. Challenging without being intimidating. Quite fun. My roommate finally convinced two friends and I to play P. This game is incredible. I controlled the joystick first, resistantly, and it was slow, jerky toggles crept me through the game meanwhile my three friends were huddled together on the couch. I needed to be a level 45 at LEAST in order to kill the final bosses, and I did not particularly enjoy going back and finding bad guys that were tough enough to actually help me level up! The story was good, and I did fall in love with the characters by the end of it all. I feel like the biggest thing I got out of this experience was a way better understanding of combat Final Fantasy style combat as it was described to me.
